Planting Trees to Commemorate WW1

On November 12th, we planted 105 trees as to commemorate World War One.  All classes took part in our major tree planting operation which was supported by Aberdeen City Council Rangers.

The trees were provided by the Woodland Trust, thanks to a successful funding application by one of our parents Wendy Devall.  We will now cherish our newly planted trees and look forward to our own forest area in our school grounds.  This will greatly enhance our school grounds and will be a valuable resource for future years.  We hope our wee forest will leave a lasting legacy to our World War One learning experience.
